Wedding Portraits at Amber Grove in Midlothian, VA
Say hello to some familiar faces! Back in the Fall, Kate and Will's wedding was the infamous Hurricane Matthew wedding at Amber Grove. They were troopers and we made their rainy wedding day work, but you don't book a beautiful outdoor wedding venue like Amber Grove without wanting some scenic country pictures to go with it. Kate contacted me about doing some extra bride and groom portraits on a nicer day, and I was SO THRILLED that she did.
The worst thing about a wedding day for a photographer is always that we just want more time for bride and groom portraits! They're the best pictures, but you know, the wedding itself needs to be the priority! So, sometimes portrait time gets cut short and it is always a rush to get as much done as quickly as possible. That's just the way it goes. So the chance to do some wedding portraits without time constraint at the ideal time for light? That is a rare, wonderful opportunity. Especially with a gorgeous place like Amber Grove as your backdrop. And we were so lucky with the weather. After some rainy wedding day portraits, I was so happy to give this couple some bright, sun-soaked images. The sunset in these pictures is just perfect.
So enjoy these bonus bride and groom portraits from one of the absolute sweetest couples I've worked with to date. What a fun and awesome opportunity for me to photograph them one more time!
