A Teal Outdoor Wedding at Celebrations in Midlothian, VA
I remember when Megan contacted me about shooting this wedding. She said she and Aaron would be getting married at Celebrations on the Reservoir in Midlothian, VA. I said, "at Heron's View with the azalea gardens??" and she said yes. I told her that was exactly where I had been married two years ago and I would LOVE to shoot their wedding there. Not only that, but I live about ten minutes away from Celebrations. I was basically falling out of my chair with excitement.
Megan was living in Nashville at the time, so sadly we didn't get to meet until the day before the wedding. I stopped by the rehearsal and Megan and Aaron were so sweet. They instantly walked up to me and introduced themselves. Everything was extremely relaxed and casual. Nobody was stressed. The family sat around joking and laughing throughout the rehearsal. It was obvious everyone was just happy to be together, having fun.
The day of the wedding felt very much the same. I don't think Megan or Aaron was at all nervous. They both seemed so happy and calm. It was a small, outdoor wedding and you could tell that everyone there was meaningful to this couple. Aaron, who coaches soccer, even had some boys from his team at the wedding helping out with music and sparklers! Everyone I talked to told me what a wonderful couple they are, but nobody needed to. I could see that in the way they looked at each other. Congratulations to you both on your happy marriage and beautiful wedding!
Megan and Aaron opted to have a "first look" before the wedding ceremony. This gave them some time to see each other privately before the ceremony and to snag some awesome portraits without missing their reception!
