Fall Family Portraits at Midlothian Mines Park
I have known Theresa for a while, but this past year I've grown to know her much better. You see, Theresa is a Pampered Chef guru. She runs an incredibly successful Pampered Chef business and last year in January when I couldn't handle the lack of photo sessions anymore, I asked her for help. So she showed me how to start using Pampered Chef as a supplemental income to my photography business. She has been full of knowledge and encouragement and completely understanding that Pampered Chef has and always will be second to photography. It's been wonderful getting to know such a sweet person, and this past weekend I was lucky enough to get to know the rest of her family, too.
I haven't done a lot of family portrait sessions. I'm usually with couples or high school seniors, so managing five people was a bit of a challenge, especially when SOMEBODY would decide to test me by making strange faces until I told him to stop or letting a leaf casually hang out of his mouth (I have the photo proof)! He was a comedian and if I don't wind up shooting his senior portraits one day, I'll be very sad indeed ;) The whole family was wonderful to work with. I could really feel their affection for one another and could tell there was absolutely nothing fake about these happy faces.
Here are some of my favorites from this family portrait session.
The photos above were an experiment gone horribly awry. I forgot how literal kids could be when I said "run up and hug your parents" hahaha.
I was amazed by this GENUINE sibling love. These guys were sweet to each other all day long!
One of these kids posed themself... guess which one! I sense a modeling career in the future ;)
I think these are my favorite.
And this one just made me laugh :)
