I've always wondered if sunrise sessions were worth the agony of the 5am wake up call. Some people might not think it is. In fact, I'm the kind of person who LOVES my sleep so I expected to be one of those people. No matter how exhausted I am, I can't seem to make myself fall asleep before 11 or 12 (this was quite a problem as a teacher, but luckily those days are past!), so early morning wake ups are difficult! But I've seen so many beautiful sunrise sessions from Abby Grace, whose work I adore, and I knew I had to at least try it. So, at 5am this morning I was up and drinking my coffee in the pitch black. It's a little crazy to me that I had a photo shoot and then got home at the time I normally wake up and just started my normal breakfast routine as usual. It's like having two days in one. Unfortunately today the weather here decided to do a 180 and the beautiful Spring 70s we had yesterday turned into a gusty 30 degree morning. WHAT. Seriously. It was COLD, people. My clients weren't deterred, so neither was I!
And wow. I only just started loading my images onto my computer, but I'm already so in love with these pictures and that gorgeous light. Really, I was in love with them as soon as I shot them. Sarah and Andrew were total champs in this ridiculous weather (poor Sarah and her sandals!) and I cannot wait to share this engagement session on the blog. Stay tuned, friends ;)
