Reading Willow's 10 month post, I feel like so much has changed in this past month. Like my girl is so much bigger already! Last month she wasn't standing much, but this month it's pretty much all she wants to do. Diaper changes have become a total nightmare because ONLY BABIES LAY DOWN, BIG GIRLS STAND UP! Duh.
As I feel the one year birthday creeping toward us, I get completely swept up in nostalgia and also excitement. I love every second of Willow (now that she's BORN haha) more than I ever thought I was capable of. I knew I'd love being a mom. I knew I wanted a family. I knew this would always be my top priority in life. But I didn't know how much fun it would truly be. Every time I scroll back through my #willowgrowsup pictures on Instagram I marvel in how quickly she's grown and changed, but also how ‘Willow’ she was right from the start. I think of pregnancy, the absolute non-stop rolling and kicking and dance parties, and think… yup that's our Willow. Baby can't stop, won't stop.
Time is flying. Willow has officially been out of mommy longer than inside, hurray! That's pretty crazy to think about. And validates how incredibly LONG pregnancy feels because um IT IS INCREDIBLY LONG. However, it is so much more fun to have Willow out and about so now time is flying. I mean, look at that picture. She's so big! I mean. She's little. But big! You know what I mean.
Time for your monthly barrage of Willow. For her eight month baby pictures, I wanted to try something a little different. I'm running out of favorite locations in our house, and it's too cold to plop baby in the grass outside. So I did something I haven't done EVER. I plopped out a roll of backdrop paper and decided to take some photos "studio style."
Time is flying amirite?
I think the holidays seem to crank up time. It seems like it was just October and here we are in the thick of winter. The ground is covered in a thick layer of snow as I write this and I love it. I love looking out my window to see something white and different.
You know who else is enjoying the snow? A little Willow.
I'm always about two weeks late with these posts haha but that's okay. I am consistently off.
What's new at six months for the Whippers (her nicknames are ever evolving. She fittingly gained the title of Whipoorwill a few days after being born and singing us her hysterical little newborn song every night. This turned into Whips, which occasionally becomes Whippers. And that's the story of that)? Well! Reading back on my five month post, OF COURSE, sleep is a totally new game now.
This post is just an excuse to share some more sweet pictures of baby Willow. We do a monthly photo shoot. It has the purpose of making me take tons of pretty pictures of her, but also in keeping me from spending every day of my life taking tons of pretty pictures of her. Once a month photo shoots with lots of Instagrams in between seems like a reasonable, only slightly obsessive thing to me!
Wow, it's been a long time since I blogged! It's a lot harder to blog or, well, do anything when you're on a newborn's time schedule that's for sure. And I will definitely get back to business eventually (my Fall brides just breathed a sigh of relief! haha), but am choosing to take my time and luxuriate in the awesomeness and uniqueness of a new baby for as long as I reasonably can! I have, however, been wanting to write this post because so many people have literally been asking for it and I've been promising to do it for months. So here we go!
